The Sharknado veterans aren’t ones to shy from a challenge; another animal-eats-man movie may be nipping at Cocaine Bear’s heels. Indie film company and distributor The Asylum, known primarily for the Sharknado franchise, posted on social media a poster for a movie titled The Attack of the Meth Gator, captioning, “Hold our bear… I mean, beer. Coming for your life this summer.” Viewers began to clamor over whether the teaser was real or not.
In July 2019, the Loretto, Tennessee Police Department posted on Facebook a warning to residents to refrain from flushing drugs and drug paraphernalia down the toilet after successfully preventing a suspect from doing so during a home search.
“Folks … please don’t flush your drugs m’kay … our sewer guys take great pride in releasing water that is cleaner than what is in the creek, but they are not really prepared for meth,” the post read. “Ducks, Geese, and other fowl frequent our treatment ponds, and we shudder to think what one all hyped up on meth would do.”
“Furthermore, if it made it far enough, we could create meth gators in Shoal Creek and the Tennessee River down in North Alabama,” police added. “They’ve had enough methed-up animals the past few weeks without our help. So, if you need to dispose of your drugs, just give us a call, and we will make sure they are disposed of in the proper way.”
The Attack of the Meth Gator will be released in the Summer of 2023.
