Tom Holland responded to Amy Pascal’s statement about plans for developing future Spider-Man films with his Peter Parker. Holland shared his first reaction to the news that he will star in a new Spider-Man trilogy. He debuted his first MCU role as Spider-Man in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, and later went on to play the same role four more times.
His first solo film was Jon Watt’s Spider-Man: Homecoming followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home. His fifth outing, Spider-Man: No Way Home is hitting theaters this month, and marks the end of Watt’s trilogy about our fellow neighborhood hero.
Marvel Studios and Sony’s partnership has been successful this far, although their agreement almost fell prematurely in 2019 for unknown reasons. Luckily, both companies agreed to renew their partnership, and Marvel Studios was set to produce two more Spider-Man films, as No Way Home marked the end of the franchise. However, that’s no longer the case, as Sony’s Amy Pascal confirmed that plans for Holland’s Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6 are in the works.
News broke out when Holland was in the process of starting his press tour for Spider-Man: No Way Home. During his appearance in the talk show, Quotidien, fans requested his response on the matter of Pascal’s plans. He claims he’s still in the dark regarding plans, but is very ecstatic about embarking on the role once again.
He states, “Listen, all I’ll say is we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don’t know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it’s an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I’ve said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me.”
We’re all just thrilled we get to see Holland embark on future roles as his legacy continues.
