The cast of Rebel Wilson’s high school comedy Senior Year keeps getting bigger and bigger, and it doesn’t disappoint. Jade Bender (Major Crimes), Jeremy Ray Taylor (It), Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), and Avantika (Diary of a Future President) are the latest to join Wilson in Senior Year according to Variety. Rounding out the newest additions to the cast are Joshua Colley (Les Miserables), Zaire Adams (The Ride), Molly Brown (Lost Girls), Tyler Barnhardt (13 Reasons Why), and newcomer Ana Yi Puig.
The last of the cast in Justin Hartley (This Is Us), Angourie Rice (Every Day), Sam Richardson (Hooking Up), Zoë Chao (The High Note), Mary Holland (Happiest Season), Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty), and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) in the high school comedy Senior Year from Paramount Players, with Award-winning director of film and television Alex Hardcastle directing.
Based on an idea from Andrew Knauer (Ghost Team One) and Arthur Pielli (Ghost Team One), Brandon Scott Jones will write the script. The division from Paramount Pictures, Paramount Players, is committed to making hit genre films with exclusive contemporary voices and features.
The plot follows a cheerleader who wakes up after a 20-year coma and returns to high school to regain her status and claim the prom queen crown that she missed way back when.
Bender will be seen next in the TV movie comedy Night School.
Cimino is currently set to star in the drama Heartlight.
Senior Year is the latest project for Taylor.
Avantika will be seen next in Disney’s original TV movie Spin, which will premiere in Aug on Disney Channel.
