Marvel’s universe is growing rapidly, with no signs of slowing down any time soon. New series WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier have been hits with fans eager for new content after all theater releases were delayed by the pandemic, including Black Widow and The Eternals. Now in a new video acknowledging how far the MCU has grown, culminating in box office explosion Avengers: Endgame, the studio teases its next few releases and gives fans a look at the next few years of Marvel films.
In this clip, we got our very first look at The Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao, fresh off her major Oscars wins for Best Director and Best Film. This film marks Angelina Jolie‘s highly anticipated Marvel debut, and also stars Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Kit Harrington, Gemma Chan, and more to fill out its cast of immortal, powerful beings whose ancient conflict will be explored in this film. The release date has been delayed time and time again, but has been locked in to November 5, 2021.
The rest of 2021 will be packed full with Marvel films, including Black Widow on July 9, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on September 3, and Spider-Man: No Way Home on December 17, 2021. All will be in theaters, with Black Widow also being available for premium streaming on Disney+ with an added fee.
The future beyond that was also confirmed, with new title and release date info for several films of Phase 4 announced in the video including the following:
- Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness– March 25, 2022
- Thor: Love and Thunder– May 6, 2022
