Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo, Regina King, Idris Elba, and Jonathan Major saddle up as the six actors and actresses have formally signed onto the all-black western Netflix film titled for The Harder They Fall according to Deadline.
Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, and RJ Cyler will also feature in supporting roles with the film being directed by rookie filmmaker Jeymes Samuel who is also known by the alias The Bullitts.
The film will also feature the backing of Grammy-Award-winning rapper and business mogul Jay-Z as a executive producer as well as the contributions of James Lassiter, and Lawrence Bender, alongside Samuel.
The film, written by Samuel and Boaz Yakin, follows a renowned outlaw named Nat Love who encounters the very man who murdered his parents almost two decades ago following a prison release. Upon release, the Love rallies his old team of outlaws and in a fit of revenge pursues the man.
Beetz is recently coming off the heels of a career performance in last year’s critically-acclaimed Joker as Sophie Dumound.
