“You’re Killing Me Smalls!” ‘The Sandlot’ Returns to Theaters to Celebrate its 25th Anniversary

While A Christmas Story is about young kids handling life in the world they live in, it would be safe to say that The Sandlot is a summertime version of the same idea. It’s a time when kids go outside to play baseball with their friends and enjoy the summer while experiencing numerous adventures in-between. The Sandlot is a treasure of summertime movies. If you proudly wear the iconic t-shirts and endlessly quote the movie or even if you haven’t seen it, then now it’s the time to run to the theater and catch The Sandlot on the big screen this Sunday and Tuesday!

The all-star cast includes Tom Guiry (Wonder Wheel), Mike Vitar (D2: The Mighty Ducks), Patrick Renna (TV’s GLOW), Chauncey Leopardi (Coldwater), Marty York (TV’s SMILF), Brandon Quintin Adams (TV’s Reborn) and not to forget Karen Allen (National Lampoon’s Animal House), James Earl Jones (Star Wars) and Denis Leary (TV’s Rescue Me)!

Co-writer and Director David Mikey Adams brought an experience that kids and adults can enjoy and identify with. The Sandlot is filled with great moments and hilarious scenes, so don’t miss your chance to catch all the fun when it returns to theaters.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
