Coming off the tail end of a very successful box office run of It Ends With Us Colleen Hoover will soon have another novel adapted into a major motion picture. Her 2019 novel Regretting You is set to begin production with principal photography scheduled for May of 2025.
The picture is to be directed by Josh Boone with a script from Susan McMartin. Regretting You will star Allison Williams and Mckenna Grace as a mother-daughter duo with a struggling relationship in the wake of a tragedy. Dave Franco and Mason Thames are confirmed to have been casted into the supporting roles.
Constantin Film produced and developed the picture while WME Independent and north.five.six will be handling the release, U.S and North America for WME before trading off the baton to north.fie.six for the international release.
In an interview with Deadline, Boone shared that his goal with the film was “our plan is to make a classic that mothers and daughters will cherish for years to come.”
Hoover’s books gained massive popularity on TikTok, the page effectively referred to as BookTok by fans collecting billions of views over her career as an author. She’s had many books make the best-seller list with It Ends WithUs sitting at the top for over 90 weeks. Regretting You is likely to be the first in a series of adaptations of Hoovers works.
