Witness the Destruction in Roland Emmerich’s ‘Moonfall’ First Teaser!

Roland Emmerich is best known for his epic destruction-based films such as Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, and 2012; and now another movie that sees the Earth under constant assault is his newest film titled Moonfall. In this film, something has caused the moon to detach from its orbit around the Earth and is now heading straight for us! It’s an exciting premise that promises the audiences copious amounts of destruction, devastation, and witnessing the world on the brink of collapse; something that fans of the previous films from this director are no doubt already familiar with. Roland Emmerich is directing and co-writing this project along with Harald Kloser and Spenser Cohen.

Moonfall features an all-star cast which includes Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Michael Pena, Charlie Plummer, Kelly Yu, and Donald Sutherland. Josh Gad and Stanley Tucci were originally cast in the film but were replaced once production had commenced. Nevertheless, Moonfall is scheduled to be released on February 4, 2022. It’s looking to be a big-budget disaster flick to reignite the flame of seeing these types of movies on the big screen. From the looks of the teaser, we get numerous scenes of chaos, an overload of CGI, and even some lingering questions as to what is going on. Stay tuned for further updates as this movie nears closer to its release date. Until then, check out this explosive teaser from the man who certainly knows how to destroy planet Earth.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
