Witness the ‘Apes’ on the Big Screen in Triple Feature at AMC Theaters

War for the Planet of the Apes is already getting rave reviews (including here) as it concludes a rebooted trilogy of the franchise that dates back to the 1968 classic Planet of the Apes which starred Charlton Heston, all of which originated from a 1963 French novel by Pierre Boulle.

War, directed by Matt Reeves (soon heading into the director’s chair for the DC Comics feature The Batman with Ben Affleck). opens in theaters on July 14th. In preparation, AMC Theaters be playing the concluding chapter in the series after screening both Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the previous entries in the rebooted series. Fans can revel in the delicacies of Andy Serkis’ richly detailed motion capture work as Caesar as the three-picture series screens in its entirety.

The entire trilogy will play on the big screen on Wednesday, July 12th starting a 4pm. Check out participating theaters here.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
