‘Without Remorse’, Featuring Michael B. Jordan, Will Release in 2020

American actor Michael Bakari Jordan, known for his roles in the Creed series and Black Panther, will star as Tom Clancy’s character John Clark in the upcoming film Without Remorse. This project will be directed by Italian screenwriter and director Stefano Sollima, who was responsible for Sicario: Day of the Soldado.

The film will be an adaption of the 1993 thriller novel of the same name written by the prolific American author Tom Clancy. The plot of the original novel was the origin story of one of Clancy’s recurring characters, John Clark, which is set during the Vietnam War. Clark is the novelist’s second most popular character, overtaken only by the widely used Jack Ryan who has seen plenty of film reincarnations. Clark has been played by Willem Dafoe in Clear and Present Danger and Liev Schreiber in The Sum of All Fears, making Jordan the third actor to portray the character.

This is reportedly not the only Tom Clancy project in the works as an adaptation of Rainbow Six is believed to be in consideration. This would add to the large repertoire of Clancy in popular culture with his many books influencing films, video games, and more.

Without Remorse has a release date of September 18th, 2020 and the project will be distributed by Paramount.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
