Paul Rudd has few things going on right now. On July 6, he’s starring in a little movie called Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is responsible for picking up the jagged pieces of the world’s shattered psyche after Avengers: Infinity War. A week before that, he’s starring as one half of a gay couple who find themselves unwittingly adopting a ten-year-old boy. The life of a Hollywood heartthrob knows little rest.
The non-superhero flick is called Ideal Home, and finds Rudd starring alongside Steve Coogan and Alison Pill. Rudd and Coogan play a gay couple who have their life turned upside-down when Coogan’s grandson unexpectedly shows up to live with them after his dad (played by Jake McDorman) goes to jail. Coogan plays a celebrity chef in the movie, which will surely focus on comedic lifestyle adjustments, heart-warming lessons about the value of family, and a level of endearing bickering that every couple aspires to obtain.
Watch the trailer below! Ideal Home will arrive in theaters and On Demand on June 29.
