Despite Oldboy’s horrible performance at the box office this weekend, Elizabeth Olsen’s future on the silver screen looks bright. In 2014, Olsen is going to face-off against cinema’s most infamous monster, Godzilla, only to become a super-powered human for a team up with the Avengers in 2015’s Age of Ultron. But before she amazes the world on IMAX 3D screens everywhere, Olsen will be starring in the film In Secret, a period drama based off the novel Therese Raquin and the subsequent play. Roadside Attractions just released a trailer for In Secret, which you can watch below.
In Secret tells the story of Therese, a sexually repressed woman in 1860’s Paris who is forced to marry her cousin Camille, played by Tom Felton of Harry Potter fame. When she instead falls in love with an artist who enters the family’s life, she starts a dangerous affair with tragic consequences. In Secret will be directed by first time feature director Charlie Stratton and will also star Oscar Isaac, who’s just fresh off of playing the titular character in the new Coen Brother’s film Inside Llewyn Davis, and Jessica Lange.
Roadside Attractions will be releasing the film February 21st of 2014, just before Olsen will star in Godzilla.
