The new trailer for the upcoming comedy, Drunk Parents is now available. The comedy follows actors Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek desperately trying to make quick money after finding out the family has accumulated an absurd amount of debt. The parents try to capitalize on their upper-middle class standing with neighbors and family to try and take advantage of any tool they can find to acquire enough assets to pay for their daughter’s college tuition. The film’s cast also features actors, Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello, Ben Platt, and Michelle Veintimilla.
The trailer shows Hayek and Baldwin plot increasingly whacky and illegal schemes to attempt to void their insurmountable debt. From faking an atrocious English accent to renting out the neighbor’s house – the couple does everything their intoxicated minds can think of to hide their plummeting net-worth.
Drunk Parents will be the latest effort by comedy writer and director Fred Wolf (Grown Ups 2). While Wolf has experienced reasonable success as a writer, the comedian has yet to get substantial traction as a director.
Drunk Parents will release as a Direct TV On-Demand exclusive on March 21 and make its theatrical debut via Vertical Entertainment on April 19. Watch the trailer for the alcohol fueled comedy below.
