According to Variety, Terrence Malick’s Voyage of Time: The IMAX Experience is set for an ultra wide screen release. The short documentary focuses on time and space.
The ultra wide screen release will be featured on 21 wide screens nationwide starting December 9th. It will be shown with a 3.6:1 ratio, outdoing Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, which was only 2.76:1.
With this new release, narration will be present, unlike the original IMAX release. Brad Pitt will be narrating and leaving viewers with the breathtaking experience Malick wants.
Be on the look out for this special re-release coming to theaters December 9th.
