Verónica Falcón, May Elghety, And May Calamawy Join The Cast Of Blumhouse And Atomic Monster’s ‘The Mummy’ Reboot

Blumhouse and Atomic Monster’s reboot of The Mummy is adding three new cast members to its ranks, Deadline reportsWritten and directed by Lee Cronin, the film is currently shooting in Ireland and Spain and stars Jack Reynor from Midsommar and Laia Costa, from The Wheel Of Time and Lullaby. Now, it has been announced that three more names will join them in the cast: Verónica Falcón, May Elghety, and May Calamawy.

This will be the third horror collaboration for Falcón with Blumhouse, having previously starred in their productions of The Forever Purge and Imaginary. In addition, she has also starred as Trader Sam alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in Jungle Cruise and the crime drama series Queen of the South as Camila Vargas.

Calamawy, an actress of Egyptian-Palestinian descent, previously starred in Marvel’s Moon Knight as Layla El-Faouly / Scarlet Scarab and the Hulu comedy-drama series Ramy as Dena.

Elghety has starred in several Egyptian TV shows, such as the horror mystery Zodiac, Grand Hotel, La Totfee’ Al Shams, and Tayee, as well as the film Clash, which competed at Cannes.

The Mummy is set for release on April 17, 2026, with James Wan, Jason Blum, John Keville, and Cronin producing and Warner Bros. distributing.
