The talents of Veep comes to the silver screen as actor Tony Hale jumps aboard the upcoming independent drama, Nine Days, joining a stacked cast that includes Winston Duke, Zazie Beetz, Benedict Wong, David Rysdahl and Bill Skarsgard according to Deadline.
The film is written and directed by Edson Oda. The story of Nine Days follows a reclusive man who remains distant from reality and spends his days interviewing candidates who serve as a personification of human souls for the chance at a rebirth.
Hale recently scored his sixth Emmy nomination for his role as Gary Walsh on the critically-acclaimed HBO comedy series and will play the role of Alexander, a jovial soul eager to prove to the recluse that he should given the opportunity of life.
Jason Michael Berman, Mette-Marie Kongsved, Laura Tunstall, Matthew Lindner, and Datari Turner of Datari Turner Productions are involved with the production of the film.
Hale lent his voice to Disney for their fourth installment of Toy Story in Toy Story 4 as the role of Forky and provided it again for Sony’s The Angry Birds Movie 2. Hale will also act as a producer for the upcoming Netflix animated series Archibald’s Next Big Thing which will feature the voices of Rosamund Pike, Adam Pally, Chelsea Kane, Jordan Fisher, and Kari Wahlgren.
