Amazon MGM, coming off of the success of their recent Road House remake, has just announced two additional cast members for the upcoming holiday comedy Oh. What. Fun. Kick Ass’ Chloë Grace Moretz and Dominic Sessa, coming off of his breakout performance in the Oscar-nominated film The Holdovers, have joined the legendary Michelle Pfiefer in the upcoming film.
The Hollywood Reporter describes the film as “both a love letter to moms and tonally a cross between Home for the Holidays and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.” Pfiefer plays Claire Clauster, a mother who organizes a special Christmas vacation, for her work to be ignored by her grown children. Claire goes missing, throwing the holidays into chaos. Moretz and Sessa are expected to play Pfiefer’s children in the film.
Oh. What. Fun. is based on a short story by Chandler Baker that was published by Amazon Original Stories. Baker was involved in writing the script with director Michael Showater, who is coming off of his work on the upcoming film The Idea of You. Oh. What. Fun. is set to begin production in Atlanta near the end of May.
