Actor Michael Biehn was just cast in his newest project. He’s been brought into the cast of upcoming flick Onslaught.
Onslaught comes to audiences from director and co-writer Adam Wingard. Finer details of the plot aren’t widely known as of yet, but the basic story has been described as a mother defending against something that made its way out of a military base.
Biehn was brought on alongside Reginald VelJohnson and Eric Wareheim as new additions to the cast. Already included were Adria Arjona, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Dan Stevens.
Biehn has cemented himself as an action movie star over his career, and has also been a frequent collaborator of director James Cameron. Biehn starred as the futuristic warrior Kyle Reese in the breakout hit The Terminator, and would pair with Cameron again two years later for Aliens, where he played Corporal Dwayne Hicks opposite Sigourney Weavers’ Ripley.
Biehn would also appear in James Cameron’s The Abyss, just three years after Aliens, and would later be considered for the role of Miles Quaritch in Cameron’s mega-hit Avatar, before Stephen Lang was cast instead.
Hollywood Reporter noted that, for a while, Biehn has been absent from bigger film productions. Many of his recent credits have come from either television roles or work in smaller budgeted films.
Earlier this year, Wingard released another action film in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the follow-up to his 2020 film Godzilla Vs. Kong. His other directorial works include You’re Next, Death Note, and Blair Witch.
