Even though Jennifer Lawrence has been in fewer films as of late, the former Hunger Games star still has some projects in store. A24 has a new film from first time director, Lila Neugebauer, in which Lawrence plays a wounded veteran from the Afghanistan War who is trying to cope with brain damage she suffered. It has been announced that If Beale Street Could Talk actor, Brian Tyree Henry, will be joining the project in question.
Henry has been on the rise as an actor within the past few years. Not only did he have a minor yet poignant role in If Beale Street Could Talk but has also appeared in various other films within the past year. Best known for his work on the series, Atlanta, the actor also appeared in Widows and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in very recognizable roles. His fame will further increase as later this year, he is set to appear in the new Child’s Play remake and Joker, along with King Kong vs. Godzilla. Starring in a film with an Oscar winner like Jennifer Lawrence will definitely increase his recognition as a recent new star in his ever-growing film career.
No release date has been set for the untitled A24 film.
