Trailer Unveiled for Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Post’

Classic filmmaker Steven Spielberg has been hard at work expanding his repertoire by producing The Post, the trailer for which has just been released. Spielberg is movie legend, creating iconic works like E.T., Jaws, and the Indiana Jones franchise. Recently, he’s also been behind The BFG, Jurassic World, and Transformers: The Last Knight.

The Post gathers its source material from the twentieth century American past, dealing with corruption in the country’s leadership and its subsequent reveal by a news team. The film also takes on the topic of growing feminism in the job and publishing sector, as the woman behind the news team breaks barriers in the world of journalism to get the story released.

Produced by 20th Century Fox, Dreamworks, and Participant Media, the film also contains a cast filled with Hollywood royalty and other big names: Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada) and Tom Hanks (Toy Story) will act alongside Bradley Whitford (Get Out), Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek: Into Darkness), Carrie Coon (Gone Girl), Alison Brie (The Lego Movie), David Cross (Arrested Development), Jesse Plemons (Bridge of Spies), and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).

The trailer can be viewed below!

The Post will come into theaters on December 22nd of this year, just in time for the holidays.
