The upcoming horror film Die’ced: Reloaded is loaded for its debut. The sequel to 2023’s short film Die’ced just got a confirmed release date and a brand new trailer.
From director Jeremy Rudd, Die’ced: Reloaded follows a serial killer recently released from a mental institution by accident. Free to roam as he pleases, he now sets his sights on a young girl, tearing through Seattle and anyone who gets in his way.
Rudd returns to helm this project after directing the first film back in 2023. Similarly, he’s also attached to pen the screenplay, which mirrors how he approached production in the original installment. Eden Campbell, Jason Brooks, and Nigel Vonas are attached to headline the movie.
The trailer itself shows off the late 1980s aesthetic of the film, blending it with a grisly tone. Although plenty is shown of the main killer, Benny, donned in a scarecrow getup, many of the kills are left hidden, undoubtedly waiting to lift the curtain until the film hits theaters.
Speaking about the film, Rudd mentioned the specific blend of horror that drove the story. Specifically, he’s “excited to bring audiences back to the gritty nostalgia of classic ’80s and ’90s slasher horror while blending it with modern horror,” according to Hollywood Reporter.
Die’ced: Reloaded hits theaters August 8th, followed by a VOD release on the 12th. Check out the trailer below.
