Trailer For Filmmaking Family The Adams’ Award-Winning Horror Film ‘Mother Of Flies’ Premieres Online

A trailer for Mother of Flies, an upcoming indie horror flick by filmmaking family The Adams, has arrived online, Collider reports.

First premiering at this year’s Fantasia International Film Festival, where it won the Cheval Noir Award for Best Film, Mother of Flies follows Mickey, a woman who is given a terminal diagnosis. When she learns of a witch who can possibly cure her, however, she decides to take a risk, only to find the sacrifices she must make to get there are more horrifying than she could have imagined.

The folk horror project is the latest endeavor for the Adams family, John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughters Lulu and Zelda, who write, act in, direct, and edit all the films themselves, as well as composing the scores via their band, H6LLB6ND6R. The family’s journey into filmmaking began when they formed the production company Wonder Wheel Productions in 2010. They have since made eight movies, including Rumblestrips, Knuckle Jack, The Shoot, Halfway To Zen, The Deeper You Dig, their breakout film Hellbender, Where The Devil Roams, and now Mother of Flies.

Mother of Flies has already received rave reviews, earning 100% Critical Score rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with one reviewer calling it:

“…a film that wraps its audience in a biophilic blanket in the midst of its profound and poetic exploration of life and death through a necromantic lens.”

Mother of Flies is scheduled for release on the streaming platform Shudder on January 23, 2026.
