One part Slumdog Millionaire, one part The Rookie, the first trailer for Disney’s inspirational true story sports flick (there seem to be several of those, huh?) Million Dollar Arm has just released online. The film stars Jon Hamm (Mad Men) as down and out sports agent who schemes up a plan to resurrect his career by tapping the cricket talent in India, hoping to find some major-league capable pitchers. As might be expected, this proves a bit trickier than he originally anticipated.
As we first reported back in June when the project began filming in Atlanta, Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Madhur Mittal (Slumdog Millionaire) will co-star as the top recruits, simultaneously trying to learn the game of baseball and adapt to American culture.
