Tom Holland responded to a nine-year-old fan’s heartfelt letter to Spider-Man in a wholesome YouTube video with ODG, ahead of the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Directed by Jon Watts, the film is the most anticipated this year with an astounding record of the most presale tickets since Avengers: Endgame in 2019, causing various movie sites to collapse during opening day of ticket sales, ScreenRant reports.
Holland is back as Peter Parker in Spider-Man’s third installment, No Way Home, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. The film picks up after Spider-Man’s identity was revealed, and will unleash a multiverse where past antagonists will be reintroduced from previous Spider-Man renditions, including Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jamie Foxx), and Doc Ock (Alfred Molina). With the return of past characters, fans have speculated about the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, although both actors have denied it.
ODG, a popular Korean Youtube channel, surprised a young Spider-Man fan with the chance to meet Tom Holland and Zendaya through a video call. The nine-year-old boy, Harang Seong, addressed his love and appreciation for Spider-Man and was tasked to write a letter to Spider-Man in English with the help of a translator. After writing and practicing reading his letter for a while, Seong reads it to Holland and Zendaya.

With the number of fans that Holland’s Spider-Man has amassed throughout the years, especially with younger generations that grew up with his portrayal, it’s no surprise he has gained popularity across other regions like Korea and around the world.
Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres this week Dec. 17 in theaters everywhere.
