Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds, will feature Hugh Jackman by bringing back his iconic role of Wolverine.
One of the significant roles of becoming Wolverine is getting in shape. In an interview on HBO Max’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, Jackman dives in-depth into what changes he will undergo and how long it will take to get back in shape and portray the role.
Deadline quotes what Jackman said during his interview. “I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time,” he said. “So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s The Music Man] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.” Jackman continued, “And I’m really fit right now. There’s one thing that about eight shows a week being on Broadway singing and dancing, is I’m fit. So, I’m healthy. I have a good place to start. And apologies, chickens. Run a mile. Start running now because I’m coming for you.”
The X-Men star recently teased that if his character teamed up with Reynold’s character in the next film, he wouldn’t see eye to eye with Reynolds’ Deadpool. Asked to classify superhero relationships, he said, “How do we classify it? 10 is really close, 0 is reality, we are 0, polar opposites, we hate each other. Logan complains about him.”
Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on November 2024.
