Seth Rogen unveiled the voice cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem during this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. During the announcement, the teenage cast playing the squad of mutants was invited to join him onstage to promote the film.
The turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, will be voiced by Nicolas Cantu (Dragons: Rescue Riders), Micah Abbey (Cousins for Life), Brady Noon (Good Boys), and Shamon Brown Jr. (The Chi), respectively. Additionally, Jackie Chan will join the squad as their master and father figure Master Splinter. Rogen, also producing the film, will play pig henchman Bebop alongside John Cena, playing his rhino partner Rocksteady. Alongside them, Ayo Edebiri, Hannibal Buress, Rose Byrne, and Giancarlo Esposito will join the cast as turtle ally April O’Neil, punk frog Genghis Frog, mutant gator Leatherhead, and mad scientist Baxter Stockman.
Directed by Jeff Rowe, co-director of The Mitchells vs. the Machines, the film will follow the turtle brothers seeking approval from New York City while fighting against a mutant army. Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures, and Point Grey Productions are all producing the film under various names, including Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Lukas Williams, and James Weaver. Mutant Mayhem is set to be released this summer on August 4th.
