‘This is the End’ Team Reunite for ‘Sausage Party’

Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg, and Jonah Hill will reunite for the upcoming animated film Sausage Party. Hill co-wrote the story from which Rogan and Goldberg, along with Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, will adapt the screenplay. Sausage Party will be directed by Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Madegascar 3) and Greg Tiernan and financed in part by Sony. The voice cast has yet to be announced, though the safe money says that Rogan and Hill will appear as they both have previous voice-over experience.

Sausage Party will follow the adventures of discarded food items, including the titular sausage, right before the Fourth of July. No further details have been revealed though Sony executive Hannah Minghella promises, “all of the irreverent, insightful and risque R-rated humor we have come to expect from (Rogan et. al).” Sony previously handled the release of Rogan, Goldberg, and Hill’s previous collaboration, This is the End, through Columbia Pictures and was rewarded with a commercial and critical success. Sony clearly suspects that the comedy trio has another winner on its hands.
