Focus Features brings forth a trailer for the historical adventure film The Uprising. The film focuses on a group of peasants rebelling against King Richard II. The clip includes a battle between the rebellion and the royal soldiers, Wat Tyler’s aggression towards paying taxes, a fight scene between him and a royal guard and more. 

“The land is broken,” the protagonist says, “We are forced to work beyond what our souls can take.”

The Uprising cast includes Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man: No Way Home), Thomason McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit, Last Night in Soho), Jamie Bell (Fantastic Four, All of Us Strangers), Woody Norman (The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Peter and Wendy), Cosmo Jarvis (My Mother and Other Strangers, Shōgun), Katherine Waterson (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The World to Come), Tom Hollander (Pride & Prejudice, Bohemian Rhapsody), Sky Yang (Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire), Jonny Lee Miller (Mansfield Park, Dracula 200), Stephen Dillane (The Greatest Game Ever Played, Welcome to Sarajevo) and Stanley Townsend (Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar, The Song of Names). 

Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, News of the World) will be directing and writing. The producers include Greengrass, Gregory Goodman (The Lost Bus, Stop-Loss), Jason Blum. (M3GAN, Paranormal Activity), Joe Neurauter (The Crow, The Wackness), Lars Sylvest (Haunting of the Queen Mary, Cliffhanger) and Joanna Kaye (Test Drive). 

The Uprising will be premiering in theaters on September 11, 2026.
