The Rock Saw His Jumanji Sequel and Is More Than Ready For Its Release

For Dwayne Johnson, the former WWE star turned bankable actor’s relevance stays intact due to his involvement with Hollywood’s biggest franchises. Back in 2017, Dwayne Johnson made his debut as Dr. Smolder Bravestone in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, loose sequel to the 1995 Jumanji film starring Robin Williams. The first entry in this rebooted series drew in over $900 million worldwide, guaranteeing a future sequel down the line for Sony. Now only a month away from the release of that sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level, Johnson  seems to have already watched the movie.

Johnson recently shared on Instagram that he got a private showing of his newest film, albeit in an empty theater. If only he was joined by co-stars Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan, all of whom are reprising their roles as playable avatars inside the game. Nick Jonas will also reprise his role as avatar “Seaplane McDonough,” while Danny DeVito and Danny Glover will appear as new characters occupying Johnson and Hart’s avatars. Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle was a huge surprise at the box office and the sequel is aiming to pick up from where it started with an estimated $66-$77 million opening weekend.

Jumanji: The Next Level hits theaters on December 13.
