On Sunday, February 26, the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards took place in Los Angeles, which honored some of the year’s best television and film performances of the year that the actors themselves voted on.
This year’s SAG Awards was an experience like no other. The ceremony was broadcast live on the Netflix YouTube channel, allowing for a more informal flow with a commercial-free, slightly profane TV show. Starting in 2024, the show will stream worldwide on Netflix.
One of the night’s highlights was Michelle Yeoh’s win for her role in Everything, Everywhere All at Once, as the first Asian to win best actress in a leading role. The film also won the night award, which was an outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
