‘The Office’s’ David Denman Cast in Michael Bay’s ’13 Hours’

Paramount has cast David Denman (TV’s The Office) in the Michael Bay-directed (Pain and Gain) action drama 13 Hours. The actor will join his fellow Office cast mate John Krasinski (Away We Go), as well as Max Martini (Fifty Shades of Grey), Pablo Schreiber (Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black), and James Badge Dale (Iron Man 3).

The movie is based on a book detailing the true events of an international crisis that occurs when an American Ambassador is killed during an attack at a U.S. compound in Libya. Specific roles haven’t been announced, but the movie centers on the security team hired to make sense of the crisis.

Denman has been the go-to average-joe in a number of roles over the years, including TV’s Parenthood, Men, Jason Reitman’s Men,Women & Children, and the ABC series How to Get Away With Murder. This will be the first time he’s been paired with John Krasinski since Denman played Roy Anderson on The Office. Denman is currently filming an untitled movie written and directed by Joel Edgerton (Jane Got Gun). 13 Hours is currently in pre-production. No release date has been announced.
