The live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon has released a round of promotional posters of the highly anticipated feature.

The selected posters feature the young dragon riders in action on top of their dragons; the characters included are Hiccup (Mason Thames), Astrid (Nico Parker), Fishlegs (Julian Dennison), as well as twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut (Bronwyn James and Harry Tevaldwyn). There is an additional poster of Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless, on top of cavernous cliff with Hiccup touching his hand to Toothless’ snout with the sun gleaming behind them that came out via X on November 19th, 2024.

How to Train Your Dragon is an adaptation of the 2010 animated feature that was based on a series of books by Cressida Cowell. According to Collider, this live-action film “will tell the story of Hiccup, a young Viking who constantly disappoints his father, Chieftain Stoick, because he doesn’t share his community’s violent nature. Everything will change once Hiccup crosses paths with Toothless. The fearsome Night Fury dragon will prove to be an adorable companion once Hiccup proves he won’t represent a threat to him.” Chieftain Stoick will be played by Gerard Butler, and Nick Frost will have a role as Gobber the Belch.

Dean DeBlois wrote and directed the live-action adaptation, as he has been a part of this franchise since the first animated film. DeBlois has written and directed every animated installment of the How to Train Your Dragon series (How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World). How to Train Your Dragon is set to release in theaters on June 13.
