‘The Last Supper’ Brings The Story Of Jesus To Life

Mauro Borrelli’s The Last Supper will bring viewers on a theological journey through some of the most well-known and sacred stories of the Bible when it hits theaters on March 14. The official trailer lets us take a seat at the table to see the history of Jesus brought to life by Pinnacle Peak Pictures. The trailer provides a sneak peek at the life of Jesus, portrayed by Jamie Ward, starting at the end of his story. We see a handful of renowned moments in the Bible, such as Jesus breaking bread with his disciples at the Last Supper, Judas Iscariot (Robert Knepper) betraying him, the crucifixion, and a glimpse of everything that went down in between.

Musician Chris Tomlin, who is also the executive producer, introduces the trailer as he shares his excitement for the exclusive look at the upcoming film. “One of the things that I love about this movie is that it’s so theologically accurate…so much of it is God’s word just brought to life,” he says.

The Last Supper comes from the creators of God’s Not Dead (2014) and The Case For Christ (2017), and is written by Borrelli and John Collins. Following a story with numerous significant characters involved, the cast features a variety of talent including James Faulkner as Caiaphas, James Oliver Wheatley as Peter, Nathalie Rapti Gomez as Mary Magdalene, Charlie MacGechan as John, Henry Garrett as Nicodemus, Daniel Fathers as Joseph of Arimathea, Harry Anton as Simon The Zealot, Ben Dilloway as Malchus, Billy Rayner as Thomas, Fredrik Wagner as Andrew, and more.

“This is a beautiful, epic story that really deserves a cinematic experience,” Michael Scott, founder of Pinnacle Peak Pictures, told Collider last month. “…over the past few years, audiences continue to seek out films in theaters that speak to their faith and Biblical accuracy.”
