After a week full of Sony Hacks controversy surrounding The Interview, consisting of terror threats, its abandoned release, and Hollywood’s– not to mention Barack Obama’s– resounding backlash in support of creative freedom and not backing down to North Korea’s “criminal attacks,” Sony Pictures has finally decided to release the film through their own online streaming service Crackle. The film will be available free of charge. Sony originally planned to pull the film from its December 25 release date after the top five cinemas refused to show the film in order to protect the safety of their patrons.
