‘The Hummingbird Project’ Trailer Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Alexander Skarsgard

Today, the first trailer for the upcoming thriller, The Hummingbird Project, was released. It is both written and directed by Kim Nguyen and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Alexander Skarsgard, and Salma Hayek. The film premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and opened the 2018 Vancouver Film Festival. It finally has a release date in American theaters.

The Hummingbird Project follows two cousins (Eisenberg and Skarsgard) as they attempt to build a fiber optic cable that stretches from New Jersey to Kansas to make millions, but find themselves at odds, and eventually at war, with their old boss (Hayek). The film garnered some praise for its unique story with its familiar tale of conflict for cash grab as well as for its performances from its cast. By the trailer alone, it seems Eisenberg fleshes out his Mark Zuckerberg from The Social Network and Skarsgard seamlessly blends into his role with his bald head and American accent.

Distributed by Entract Films and Elevation Pictures, The Hummingbird Project sees release in US theaters on March 15th of this year. The trailer can be checked out below.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
