The Conjuring spinoff, Annabelle now has a spooky first trailer. Directed by The Conjuring (2013) and Insidious’s (2010) cinematographer John Leonetti, this piece of horror centers on an unfortunate family following their purchase of a demonic doll.
In The Conjuring, Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) warned their daughter to never touch Annabelle. This prequel will show what inspired this warning.
The film begins when Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton innocently assemble a doll collection, as they await the birth of their first child. Ward is initially excited to find the one doll that had been missing from his sweetheart’s collection. Annabelle fits in nicely amongst the other strange figurines.
Annabelle has the potential to attract a wide audience, considering The Conjuring received $41.9 million its opening weekend (the largest amount made from a horror film).
New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures will stir The Conjuring’s fans with this eerie trailer. Get ready for a scare when Annabelle haunts theaters October 3rd.
