The Cut Joke From ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’

The Deadpool movies are notorious for pushing boundaries with their jokes, and the latest movie Deadpool & Wolverine is no exception. The popular Marvel comedy made plenty of jokes at everyone’s expense: the actors, the characters, and even Disney. However, there was one joke that did not make it into the film.

The joke can be found in the official script, but just not the film itself. It takes place right after the character Deadpool, played by Ryan Renolds, finds out that the character Magneto is dead and will not be making an appearance in the movie. “F***! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse cock in my throat,” Deadpool exclaims in the script.

Instead, the joke was replaced with a dirty joke about Pinocchio. Here’s what director Shawn Levy had to say about the situation:

“There was only one line in the entire movie that we were asked to change — We have made a pact, Ryan and I, to go to our grave with that line, but I will say that it was replaced with an equally dirty line of dialogue about Pinocchio shoving his face up Deadpool’s ass and starting to lie like crazy. I was like, ‘Ryan, that’s your replacement line in response to, ‘Can we clean it up?’ That’s Ryan Reynolds for you, audacious to the very edge.”

Deadpool and Wolverine currently can be viewed on Disney+.
