The newest project from the Longlegs director, Keeper, is soon to be unveiled. After footage was released alongside The Monkey earlier this year, a trailer has debuted online for Osgood Perkin’s Keeper.
With She-Hulk’s Tatiana Maslany in the leading role, Keeper follows a couple who travels out to a remote cabin for a romantic weekend getaway. But when one has to leave unexpectedly, the other begins to discover an ancient evil beyond anything she ever imagined.
As well as Maslany, the cast features Rossif Sutherland, Brikett Turton, Claire Friesen and Erin Boyes. Chris Ferguson and Jesse Savath are producing, with Nick Lepard penning the script.
Director Perkins has already established quite a name for himself in the realm of horror. As stated, his biggest claim to fame was 2024’s Longlegs, with Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage. On top of writing and directing Longlegs, as well as this year’s The Monkey, Perkins’ very own name carries a legacy within the genre. His father Anthony Perkins starred in one of the most iconic films ever, Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, playing the role of Norman Bates, one of the most recognizable characters in the history of horror.
Clocking in at just over a minute long, the trailer for Keeper doesn’t divulge many details in way of story. All it presents to the audience are shots of different women going about their lives, with tension rising as their discomfort grows. The trailer is capped off with one of them remarking, “this place isn’t right for me,” leaving plenty of mystery for the audiences to discover.
Keeper hits theaters November 14th. Check out the trailer below.
