Sydney Sweeney to Star in ‘Hollow’, a New Take on ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’

Sydney Sweeney has lined up another major film project. According to Deadline, the actress will star in Hollow, a new adaptation of filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer’s debut novel. Beer is also set to write and direct the movie, which reimagines Washington Irving’s classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow from a fresh perspective.

Instead of telling the familiar story through Ichabod Crane, Hollow shifts the focus to Katrina Van Tassel. Deadline reports that Sweeney will play Katrina as the central figure in a supernatural mystery and dangerous love triangle, giving the classic tale a darker, more modern twist. The film is expected to blend gothic horror, mystery, and psychological suspense while putting one of the story’s most well-known characters at the center of the action.

The project also brings together an impressive production team. Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment is producing alongside Lindsey Anderson Beer’s Lab Brew banner, while Sweeney will produce through her newly launched Honey Trap banner. According to Deadline, Hollow will be the first feature film produced under Honey Trap, making the project an important milestone for Sweeney both in front of and behind the camera.

While the rest of the cast has not yet been announced, excitement is already building around the film. With Sweeney leading the cast, Beer directing her own adaptation, and a new spin on one of literature’s most famous ghost stories, Hollow is shaping up to be a project that horror and thriller fans will want to keep an eye on.
