Silence speaks one thousand times louder than words in the first teaser trailer for the remake of the 1977 classic horror film Suspiria. Within less than two minutes, audiences are able to catch a glimpse of the reimagined terrors that will likely keep them up at night.
The trailer focuses on the intense, beautiful, and terrifying visuals of the upcoming film directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name). Sights of dank, gray outdoor settings sit juxtaposition to the immediate, bright letters slowly spelling out the movie title. Without a single line expressed in this first cut of the trailer, each character’s intentions, fears, and thoughts scream at you through the screen. You can see the evil and good radiating from each expression.
The plot of the film revolves around a young American dancer (Dakota Johnson), an artistic director (Tilda Swinton), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) who become entangled in a bloody and sinister nightmare at a world-renowned dance company. The film also stars Chloë Grace Moretz as Patricia Hingle.
Suspiria is set for release on November 2nd of this year. Are you ready for the thrill ride that this film is going to take you on? We certainly are.
