It looks like Jennifer Aniston (Wanderlust) will lend her talents to another comedy film! There, she and her yet-unnamed costar will play characters seeking to return to the carefree lifestyle of their earlier days. Certainly by now, it’s more than fair to say that comedy is the genre in which she seems to be especially in her element, whether it be in television shows like Friends or movies like We’re the Millers.
However, that doesn’t mean that Aniston lacks versatility: she also recently starred in a 2017 film about the Iraq War called The Yellow Birds. Before, that, she also illustrated her more serious side in Cake with her performance garnering enthusiastic reviews and even earning a nomination for a Golden Globe award.
Sophie Goodhart (The Locksmith) will be joining the film, where she will serve as director and writer. Goodhart’s project, Sex Guaranteed, is also in post-production.
Aniston also has an anticipated movie that will reach audiences before the upcoming new comedy film. She is acting in and producing the film Dumplin, a comedy centered on a young woman who competes in beauty pageants. She will act alongside Danielle Macdonald of this year’s indie breakout Pattie Cake$ (coming to select theaters this weekend).
Currently there is no known release date for the Goodhart-helmed and Aniston-starring film.
