The duo of John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell, last seen in the 2008 raunchy comedy Step Brothers, will be at it again for a Halloween-themed comedy called Devil’s Night.
Devil’s Night refers to the night before Halloween (October 30), when the real trouble starts. A mutual love for the “holiday” was the beginning of a bond between Leonard and Gabe, who became childhood best friends. While events transpire that eventually drive them apart, they must reunite 15 years later to save their neighborhood from destruction when the mischief on Devil’s Night gets out of control.
The film will be produced by Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions. The script will written by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, both of whom collaborated on the Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man.
Since Mogel and Paul are currently working on the script, fans of the chemistry between Ferrell and Reilly may have to wait a bit. However Ferrell will be starring in the highly anticipated Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues which releases on December 20. Rumor has it that Reilly will have a small part in the film as well.
