A trifecta of actresses has recently been acquired for the upcoming indie film Hell House, as Stefanie Scott, Odessa Aldon and Jess Weixler were cast alongside Gene Jones and Michael Abbot Jr. according to Deadline. Andrew Gori will write and direct the film, which is partially funded and produced by Camera Ready Pictures who recently supervised The Giant.
The story of Hell House centers around a complex relationship involving local high school peers Dawn and Makayla in the Deep South who both attend a religious-based Halloween landmark known as “hell house” experiences its grand opening. An assortment of townspeople, however, attempt to keep the two girls separated from meeting one another and the results are ultimately catastrophic.
A production team consisting of Dennis Masel, William Day Frank, Jamie Dolan, and Tara Ansley will be handling the Hell House project before filming begins this fall. Scott’s previous screen credits include Insidious: Chapter 3 and Beautiful Boy while Adlon and Weixler are renowned for their work in the CBS sitcom Fam, Nashville, The Son, and The Good Wife. Jones is perhaps best known for his work in No Country For Old Men and The Hateful Eight, while Abbott was previously seen in The Death of Dick Long and Loving.
