Stallone Confirms Final ‘Rambo’ Film

Sylvester Stallone (Rocky) confirmed the fifth Rambo film, and alluded to it being the last in the series. The actor, who is also writing and directing the film, revealed his project schedule on Twitter in the tweet below. The film is rumored to take place near the U.S. and Mexico border and will follow John Rambo as he takes on drug cartels.

Stallone also revealed that he is currently on his way to Philadelphia to shoot the Rocky spin-off Creed, which will follow Apollo Creed’s son, Adonis played by Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle). Stallone revisited his second-most iconic character with 2008’s Rambo – released two years after the last Rocky movie, Rocky Balboa. According to Stallone, Last Blood will film after Creed.

It makes sense that Stallone is going back to one of his most successful franchises after The Expendables 3 under-performed significantly. No other casting information has been announced It remains to be seen if the sequel will include room for a spin-off, similar to Creed.
