‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Star Marisa Tomei Claims She Told Her Therapist How The Film Ends

According to Insider, Spider-Man: No Way Home star Marisa Tomei claims that the film is so overwhelming that she told her therapist how it ends.

“I had to be under oath and I had to tell someone,” Tomei said in an interview with BackstageOL. The Oscar-winning actress stars as May Parker, Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) aunt. She first joined the MCU in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Since then, she’s reprised the role for the subsequent films, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

No Way Home debuts December 17 and is the third film in Holland’s standalone Spider-Man trilogy. The film picks up after the events of Far From Home, in which Spider-Man’s identity was revealed. Spider-Man director Jon Watts has previously referred to the film as Spider-Man: Endgame because of its scale.

Holland claimed that No Way Home is “dark and sad.” The actor told Entertainment Weekly that filming the movie was very emotional, having cried several times during the set. He also said that the cast and crew consider this movie to be the “end of the franchise.” However, Amy Pascal told Fandango that No Way Home won’t be Holland’s last role with Marvel.
