Jalmari Helander is back with a sequel to his latest film, Sisu. A trailer for Sisu: Road To Revenge has been released online ahead of its November debut.
After his family was murdered, Aatami returns to their old house and chooses to keep it with him. In an unorthodox decision, he breaks it down and moves it across the country, hoping to rebuild it as the foundations of a new life. But any chance of that is put into jeopardy when an old rival resurfaces and threatens anything he hopes to build.
Jorma Tommila is reprising his role as the protagonist Aatami, marking yet another collaboration between him and director Helander. Tommila is joined by a supporting cast of Richard Brake, Stephen Lang, and Einar Haraldsson. Helander will be writing the script once again, with Petri Jokiranta returning to produce.
With just two minutes of footage, audiences are given enough to know that more of the unhinged action that the first one had awaits them in Road To Revenge. Each action set piece in the trailer is topped off with some sort of a brutal kill, while promising even more antics to experience on the big screen.
Also shown in the trailer is the type of role that Stephen Lang will be playing. Much to his usual type, Lang will be playing the main antagonist of the film, hellbent on finding Aatami and stopping him. Lang has played the villain several times before, most notably as Colonel Miles Quaritch in James Cameron’s Avatar series. He’ll even be appearing in the third installment, Fire And Ash, this December.
Sisu: Road To Revenge hits theaters November 21st. Check out the trailer below.
