‘Sinners’ Sound Awarded Twice At 2026 Grammys

Michael B. Jordan in Official Trailer for 'Sinners' (2025).

Award season has continued to be fruitful for this multi-nominated film as it continues to stack on the accolades for its musical achievements. Sinners won not one but two Grammys earlier this month – one for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and another for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Composer Ludwig Göransson accepted the awards from The Recording Academy at the ceremony in early February for his sonic masterpiece that structured the atmosphere in the critically acclaimed movie with the contribution of the artists that added to the impactful tune of its sound – Brittany Howard (lead singer for the band, Alabama Shakes), Don Toliver, James Blake and even the film’s lead actors Miles Caton & Hailee Steinfeld participated. Göransson’s previous works include scores for The Mandalorian series & other projects starring Michael B. Jordan like Fruitvale Station, Black Panther & the Creed trilogy.

Sinners has beautifully illustrated how the spectrum of art can be interwoven to form a symphony with each individual aspect, like cinema and music, complementing one another in harmony to create an opus that spawns awe and admiration – the extended recognition it has received is a testament to this artistic endeavor.

The BAFTAs and Oscars are just around the corner, and this highly acclaimed movie will likely add more wins to the growing pile.
