‘Shazam’ Poster Showcases the Fun Antics of the Childlike Superhero

Warner Brothers is continuing their popular DC Cinematic Film Franchise in 2019 with a movie based on Shazam.  Created in the 1950s originally by the name Captain Marvel, the popular comic book character is about a kid who gains the power to become a full fledged superhero, essentially becoming a superhero version of the Tom Hanks film, Big.

Directing the film is Horror director David F. Sandberg, in charge of bringing the DC hero to life. The character is portrayed by Chuck actor Zachery Levi, who recently posted a photo of the newest poster for the film on his Instagram page.

The poster showcases Shazam blowing bubble gum and texting on his phone, portraying the typical modern day kid as an adult in tights. Levi mentions in the caption of the post to mark your calendars for April 5 for that is when the anticipated superhero movie will be released. With the new poster dropping so soon, it’s fair to also assume that there will be a new trailer coming for Shazam!, and will likely be in front of DC’s big comic book film for December, Aquaman.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
