September Release Date Pushed Up To August For ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2’

The Turtles are coming back to the big screen sooner than expected. Originally set to release September 17th, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 will now hit theaters August 13th of 2027.

Released back in 2023, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem brought the group back together for a new generation. As their training from Splinter advances, the Turtles all desire to emerge into the human world and lead a normal life. But when another group of mutants emerge, dangerous and eager for chaos, the four brothers must band together to overcome their biggest challenge yet.

Hollywood Reporter noted that Mutant Mayhem 2 will once again be helmed by Jeff Rowe. With a wealth of experience in television, Mutant Mayhem and its sequel are the only two films he’s directed as of this writing.

Similarly, Rowe also served as a producer on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2- Lost In New Jersey, an animated short recently released alongside the theatrical debut of The Spongebob Movie: Search For SquarePants. The short saw the four go to New Jersey to investigate a suspicious toy company.  The main voice cast of Mutant Mayhem returned for the short, similar to the cast involved with the Tales Of The TMNT cartoon.
