In his final dramatic performance, Robin Williams portrays a banker in a marriage of convenience who comes to discover his sexual identity. It is being hailed as one of the best performances of Williams’ career, which was sadly cut short when he took his own life in 2014.
Williams’ character, a banker named Nolan, drives down a road one night and picks up a male hustler named Leo, played by Roberto Aguire. He only pays for companionship rather than sex, but their lives become more entwined as Nolan discovers what it really means to live a happy life rather than just one of convenience.
Though this will be Williams’ final dramatic performance, his fans can still catch him in his voice role in the British movie Absolutely Anything, to be released next year. Williams’ other most recent performances include Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, and his television show The Crazy Ones.
Boulevard will be released on July 10 by Starz Digital. It was originally released at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
